Technology as well as social media have affected our lives in many ways. We use social media to interact with each other to become friends or ask questions of their interests and what not. Being friends with someone online that you have never met is now commonality.
Social media and electronic communication devices have changed a variety of relationshipsin our lives. Relationships with our friends and family have been easier with technology and social media because now we can communicate just by texting even when are far apart. These new ways to communicate made our relationships stronger. Without these ways to communicate our relationships couldn't have been stronger than they are now.
Social media can become more reliable if they were available offline as well. This way we are able to communicate with each other without internet access.
Schools allow having our devices during class because we can learn to use them to research the topic we are studying in school. Thus allowing us to become more aware of the topic there are rules and regulations for these situations because the staff can be more aware of what they are using their devices for during school.

Why do we look past Reckless behavior ?
We all know about the Justin Bieber and Chris Brown incidents. Justin Bieber from being a young innocent boy just trying to pursue his career in being a singer to defacing property with graffiti and being rude to fans and not to mention being arrested for a DUI and assaulting a Toronto limo driver. Chris Brown with his fight with Rihanna where he did the most, punching her continuously. All celebrities have these moments in their lives where being famous and all the money they have gets to their head, making it seem to them that they are allowed to do whatever they want.
Even though celebrities go against the law, fans are still able to overlook their favourite celebrities misbehavior. In my opinion the reason why fans still support their favourite celebrities because they have faith in them, they believe that that this is just a phase. Fans do not neglect their favourite celebrities because just because of their work. If it was a music artist the fans will know that the social media will make it seem like the artist is a bad person, the media will trash the artist saying things that are negative. While the fans pay more attention to the things where the artist does to help people in the world, all the positivity they spread. Some fans don't care about how the artist acts on their own time but only care about the music they produce.
In my opinion I believe that if celebrities mess up and go against the law, the same way a normal person does they should receive the same amount of consequences. Just because celebrities are famous and have a lot of money I don't think it is right for them to receive "special" treatment ex if a normal person were to drink and drive they would be fined and receive a night in jail. Celebrites on the other hand will go off with a "warning" or possibly a couple mins at jail to "clear" things up.
When people who have jobs that don't make them famous get into difficult situations. These people go through the lecture of their boss of how reckless their actions were and usually at the end they either get a strike or they get a warning. While celebrities get more public attention making them more famous. This helping them get more opportunities to do interviews and more labels. I think that our celebrity culture elevated to the point where celebrities are above the law and their actions void of consequences because in our society the more the drama the more relevant you are.
Safe schooling
Recently there was an accident at Dunbarton High School in pickering, Ontario. A 14 year old female student who was carrying 2 knives injured six students and three staff members. The girl's friend thought even though she was bullied that she would never hurt herself or anyone in that matter.
Accidents like these makes me think about how we should be trying to avoid things like these in schools and communities. We should be controlling the violence, we should be providing more attention to the children and making sure they are receiving the right amount of help. We shouldn't allow students to bully each other and bring each other down mentally wise. We should help all students individually and as groups to make sure that they aren't being abused by whomever. Teachers should be paying more attention towards how the students behave in class, how the students behave show a lot about how they feel. Tricia Goodchild the female student reported that she was being bullied and the school administrators did not do anything to help Tricia in anyway. In this case I think that the school administrators should actually care about the students well beings.
At Mary Ward Catholic Secondary School the services that are available to help the students if they were being bullied is the guidance counsellor. The guidance counsellor is there to make you feel comfortable and safe. The guidance counsellor is there to help the students when they are in a difficult place. TA's are also there to help the student when they are being bullied, they are there to support the student, to guide them. The teachers are there to help you with your performance in school and how you use your knowledge. The teachers will help you in whatever situation you are in. All these services (people) are there to help the students be comfortable with themselves and to help them when they are being bullied. Bullying in Mary Ward is unacceptable act which they take strongly.
New service that can be provided in schools. An example would be an online help center, this will help student or anyone in that matter. This application will allow students to talk to people about their situation anonymously, if the student doesn't feel comfortable talking face to face. I think that the online help center would be very helpful in students lives. There could be one online help center for each district with highly qualified people able to deal with problems.
I think that its not just specific schools that need to be readjusted but the school district making it easier for the students to feel safe as if no one in the school id going to hurt them in any way.
